Dear all,
Iād like to share with you this article from the Bacteriology Laboratory at ICGEB: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0944501324004373?via%3Dihub. The work describes the bacteriome composition of the rhizosphere of Sorghum bicolor across different geographical locations and varieties. The authors identified keystone bacterial genera and ā using root-bacteriome data ā designed and tested synthetic bacterial consortia to promote plant-beneficial effects. Their aim is to translate microbiome insights into practical applications for agriculture.
Hello everyone!
I’d love to share with you my recent article: https://enviromicro-journals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/1758-2229.70136
This work was performed in the Bacteriology Unit at ICGEB Trieste and tackles a novel enrichment strategy designed to enrich for rice root endophytic bacteria under different environmental states. We identified a pattern of enriched endophytes throughout multiple generations of rice plants with and without nitrogen starvation applied. This enrichment method proved to be suitable for the identification of endophytes which can efficiently colonise the root endosphere.
Hope you enjoy it!
