ICGEB

LEAD PARTNER

The Bacteriology Group at the ICGEB research bacterial signaling within plant-associated microbiomes and develops plant bacterial probiotics. They focus on isolating and identifying beneficial bacteria from plant microbiomes, primarily using rice and sorghum. Their goal is to create bacterial inoculants to reduce agrochemical use and enhance plant health and growth, particularly in temperate regions and extreme environments in Africa.
